Lira relies on open-source libraries and public-domain content. Thanks to their creators.
1. Text library
- Project Gutenberg — the public-domain classics available in Lira's built-in library (Kafka, Carroll, Collodi, and more) mainly come from Project Gutenberg.
2. Open-source software and libraries
- FSRS (Free Spaced Repetition Scheduler) — the spaced repetition algorithm that schedules vocabulary reviews in Lira.
- boring-avatars — default avatar generation.
- Heroicons — most of the interface icons.
- Piper (via @mintplex-labs/piper-tts-web) — offline text-to-speech for word pronunciation.
- pdf.js — reading imported PDF files.
- Next.js, React — the application framework.
