Livia’s point of view

One decision. Different reasons behind it.

What does this Italian B2 reading exercise practise?

The Il Passaggio exercise brings together two viewpoints on the same decision. Livia wants to make the history of the space visible; Idris wants a programme the volunteers can sustain. Read both texts before deciding where they agree and disagree.

The three questions cover the proposed compromise, the limits of a questionnaire and the evaluation criteria. The explained answers quote the relevant passages, showing what the text supports and why another interpretation does not fit.

B2 describes the reading difficulty here, including concessions and the organisation of arguments. This activity is neither an overall level test nor a complete exam preparation course. In Lira, the Il Passaggio guide continues this work on viewpoints and decisions.

Questions about this exercise and Lira

Are the answers available without signing up?

Yes. Both texts, all three questions and the explanations are available here. You can change your answer and compare the passages again.

Why are there two texts in one exercise?

Both texts concern the same decision. Comparing them practises understanding the compromise, reservations and stated criteria.

Does this prepare me for an Italian exam?

It gives you practice in B2 reading comprehension. It does not reproduce an official exam or cover the other skills an exam assesses.
